Existing K-5 Private School, formerly the Solomon Schechter School, consisting of approximately
35,000 s.f. The proposed new two story addition will consist of an additional 20,000 square feet.
The expansion will add many amenities that the school is currently sharing or lacking.

New addition contains new “state of the art” Science Labs, Library, Computer/Technology Center, Central Gathering/Lobby Space, Music Room, outdoor science area, outdoor Amphitheatre and play areas. Existing building to be reconfigured to incorporate new Art Room and Lobby, multiple gathering spaces located throughout the existing classroom areas to promote small learning and social gathering spaces.

Overall Goal: Renovate the existing school to compete with other private and public schools by offering 21st Century Technology and Learning Ideas. Create an overall campus surrounding that can utilize both the interior and exterior spaces for learning and interacting.

The Lyndhurst Towne Center shopping center on Valley Brook Avenue and Delafield Avenue is located in the in the heart of Lyndhurst across from the Lyndhurst Town Hall, Fire Department, Police Headquarters and Town Park. The Towne Center which includes national retail stores TJ Maxx, Mandees, Radio Shack, TD Bank North, Bruno’s and Perkins restaurants has a total square footage of 78,000 which encompasses three buildings.

Guzzo + Guzzo Architects is “proud to be a part of the Lyndhurst community and its redevelopment initiatives”. The newly designed and renovated portions of the shopping center has tranformed the center from an outdated non descript center into a vibrant part of the downtown area.

As a result, the residents of Lyndhurst have great places to shop and eat- and the rest of the merchant community now uses the Towne Center as a hallmark for greater improvements throughout the business districts”.

The architecture firm of Guzzo + Guzzo has been shaping the Meadowlands area for more than 40 years. Taking on its newest venture, the second-generation family-run business is designing and developing the new East Rutherford Police and Municipal Court complex from the ground up. With all the approvals in place, the project broke ground in late 2010 and will be completed with the anticipated opening of the American Dream Mall at the Meadowlands, former Xanadu. The existing police station is currently housed in extremely tight quarters on Grove Street, in the middle of a residential neighborhood with no room to grow. To remedy the situation, the borough teamed with a private developer and created a committee consisting of several councilmen and the police chief to oversee the design. Guzzo + Guzzo Architects worked closely with the committee to design the new two-story, 28,000 sq. ft. complex that will house the new East Rutherford Police Department and Municipal Court. The new building will contain many “Green” building materials and elements that will provide a modern and sustainable building for the borough for years to come. Also, the new site will be located in a more suitable location, just off of Route 17 on Stanley Street next to the Homewood Suites by Hilton and across the street from the Federal Reserve building, away from the residential area and closer to Meadowlands Stadium and new American Dream Mall which it needs to oversee.
