Guzzo + Guzzo Architects are committed to the environment Guzzo + Guzzo Architects expands they’re Green design work after joining the US Green Building Council (USGBC) in 2008. Several staff members have received LEED certification. The firm is focusing on a LEED certified Stop & Shop Supermarket located in Sparta, N.J. currently under construction and due to be completed in mid to late 2011. This Stop & Shop will be one of the first to be LEED certified in New Jersey

ACE Mentoring Program Guzzo + Guzzo Architects along with the construction management firm Bergen Engineering held an ACE mentoring program at the Pascack Valley Shopping Center construction site for students interested in careers in Engineering, Architecture, construction trades and construction management. It was a great opportunity to meet architects, engineers, construction managers and craftsmen and discuss these careers while participating in job site tours through the construction of the project. This is a cooperative effort supported by Stop & Shop Supermarkets, the ACE Mentor Program of America, Bergen Engineering Co, Guzzo + Guzzo Architects, The New Jersey Building Contractor’s Assoc, Fairleigh Dickenson University, and New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
